1. Definitions
In these terms, the following definitions apply: SSP: Suriname Service Platform, the digital platform and associated services. Platform: the website, mobile version, portals, dashboards and digital functionalities of SSP. Customer: an individual who searches for, requests or receives services via SSP. Business: a business user or organisation that searches for, requests, manages or compares services via SSP. Service Provider: a user who offers services via SSP. Business Workspace: SSP's paid business environment with additional management functionalities. Account: a user account on SSP. Request: a request for a service submitted via SSP. Quote: a price proposal or response from a service provider to a request. Subscription: a free or paid package linked to an account or functionality.
2. Applicability
These Terms and Conditions apply to any use of SSP, to any account, to any request, and to all free and paid services of SSP, unless SSP expressly determines otherwise in writing.
3. SSP's role
SSP is a digital platform that connects customers, businesses and service providers. SSP is in principle not the provider of the offered service, not the employer of service providers, not automatically a party to the agreement between the customer or business and the service provider, and not responsible for the actual performance, quality, safety, legality, completeness, availability or suitability of the offered services.
SSP facilitates the process of requesting, comparing, communicating, quoting, scheduling, administering and managing, but the actual service delivery takes place in principle between users.
4. Contractual relations
The use of SSP may involve different legal relationships: between the user and SSP for access to and use of the platform, between a service provider and SSP for account, profile, subscription or platform functionalities, and between customer or business and service provider for actual service delivery. Unless SSP expressly indicates otherwise, SSP is not a party to the actual service agreement between customer or business and service provider.
5. Account registration
Users may create an account provided they are authorised to do so and provide accurate, complete and current information. The user is responsible for:
- the accuracy of the information provided
- keeping login credentials confidential
- activities under the account
- promptly reporting unauthorised use
SSP may refuse registration, restrict accounts or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary.
6. Service requests and quotes
A customer or business may submit a request via SSP. SSP may make this request visible to relevant service providers or distribute it in other functional ways within the platform. Service providers determine for themselves whether and how they respond, unless SSP expressly states otherwise for a specific flow. SSP does not guarantee that a request will receive responses, that a quote will be issued, that a service provider will be available, or that a match, appointment or performance will materialise.
7. Profiles and user content
Users may place profiles, business information, descriptions, photos, documents, reviews and other content. The user declares that this content is accurate, does not infringe third-party rights, is not misleading and is not unlawful, offensive, fraudulent or harmful. SSP may check, restrict, refuse, remove or adapt content where reasonably necessary.
8. Verification and badges
SSP may perform verifications or display badges, statuses or other designations. Unless SSP expressly indicates otherwise, verification or a badge does not mean that SSP:
- guarantees the quality of services
- fully confirms reliability or solvency
- guarantees legal compliance of all activities
- warrants future performance or results
Verification is limited to the aspects that SSP has checked at that time.
9. Reviews and feedback
Users may leave reviews or feedback to the extent permitted on the platform. Reviews must:
- be based on genuine experience
- be honest and relevant
- not be defamatory, offensive or unlawful
- not contain misleading or false information
SSP may moderate, hide or remove reviews and may restrict accounts for misuse.
10. Communication via or outside the platform
SSP may enable communication via the platform or through linked channels. When users communicate outside the platform, for example via telephone, email, WhatsApp or other external channels, SSP has limited control, limited visibility and limited responsibility for the content, timing, completeness or consequences of that communication.
11. Free and paid functionalities
SSP may offer free accounts, free functionalities and paid subscriptions. A free account only entitles the user to the functionalities that SSP explicitly links to it at that time. Access to paid functionalities only arises when SSP has confirmed the required payment or valid activation.
12. Business Workspace
SSP may offer businesses a paid Business Workspace for structured management of requests, quotes, locations, team access, preferred suppliers, cost registration and other business functionalities. SSP may modify, expand or restrict the content, layout and functionalities of the Business Workspace.
13. Paid plans, failed payments and deactivation
If a payment fails, is refused, reversed or otherwise not correctly received, SSP may:
- restrict access to paid features
- apply a grace period
- downgrade the account
- suspend or deactivate the subscription
- continue to claim outstanding amounts
SSP may determine which parts remain visible upon non-payment and which parts are restricted.
14. Permitted and prohibited conduct
It is prohibited to use SSP for:
- fraud, deception or impersonation
- spam or unsolicited approaches
- unlawful or harmful content
- infringement of third-party rights
- misuse of reviews, verification, badges or rankings
- circumvention of payment obligations to SSP
- technical disruption, scraping or unauthorised access
- activities contrary to law, public morality or public order
15. Suspension, restriction and termination
SSP may suspend, restrict or terminate accounts, content, features or access where:
- these terms are violated
- there is fraud, security risk, misuse or reputational damage
- information is misleading or inaccurate
- payment is outstanding
- SSP is legally required to do so
- this is reasonably necessary for the protection of the platform or other users
16. Intellectual property
All rights to SSP, including brand, name, design, software, databases, texts, logos and platform structure, remain with SSP or its licensors. Users may not copy, exploit, reverse engineer or otherwise use SSP outside the manner permitted by SSP. By uploading content, the user grants SSP a non-exclusive right of use to the extent necessary to operate the platform, display, moderate, secure and process the content.
17. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SSP is not liable for:
- the quality or outcome of services provided by service providers
- conduct of customers, businesses or service providers
- inaccurate profile, review or business information from users
- missed appointments, damage, delays or misunderstandings between users
- indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of profits or reputational damage
- failure or unavailability of third parties such as hosting, communication or payment services
If SSP is nevertheless liable, that liability is limited to the amount the user has paid directly to SSP in the twelve months preceding the event, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
18. Indemnification
The user indemnifies SSP against claims from third parties arising from breach of these terms, unlawful or misleading content, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful or improper use of the platform.
19. Changes to the platform and terms
SSP may modify features, packages, prices, layouts, workflows, integrations and terms. The most recent version applies from the date of publication or the announced effective date.
20. Complaints
Complaints about SSP may be submitted via the contact details or contact page. SSP will make reasonable efforts to handle complaints within an appropriate timeframe.
21. Applicable law and disputes
The use of SSP and these terms are governed by the law of Suriname. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Suriname, unless mandatory law requires otherwise or SSP chooses another legally permitted route.
