This privacy policy applies to website visitors, persons who submit a service request without an account, customers with an account, businesses with an account, businesses with a paid Business Workspace, service providers, and persons who contact SSP for support, verification, complaints or other inquiries.

  • description of your request, job or assignment
  • photos, documents and other attachments
  • profile information
  • quote and appointment details
  • payment or subscription details

  • IP address, browser data, device data
  • language settings, session data, cookie data
  • usage data, log data, error messages

Data from other users or systems:

  • information about requests, quotes, appointments or reviews
  • payment or subscription statuses
  • technical data from service providers

4. Why we use your data

  • creating and managing accounts
  • processing service requests
  • forwarding request information to matching service providers
  • displaying and managing public and non-public profiles
  • enabling quotes, appointments, scheduling and communication
  • managing paid subscriptions and paid functionalities

  • handling support requests, complaints and disputes
  • complying with applicable laws and regulations

5. When we share your data

SSP does not sell personal data. We may share data with relevant service providers to the extent necessary to respond to a request, with customers or businesses to the extent necessary to display quotes, appointments or profile information, with team members within a Business Workspace, with payment service providers for billing or payment status, with technical suppliers for hosting, cloud, email, security or analytics tools, with external communication channels or integrations where users use these, and with competent authorities when SSP is legally required to do so.

6. Public profiles and visible information

Certain information may become visible to other users, depending on your role, settings and use of SSP. This may include public service provider profiles, business profiles, reviews, profile descriptions, photos and portfolio content, and contact information where made visible by the user or necessary within the platform functionality.

Users are themselves responsible for the accuracy and currency of the information they place on SSP.

7. Verification data

SSP may request verification information or documents to verify certain data of users, businesses or service providers. Verification or a badge does not automatically mean that SSP guarantees the quality, reliability, creditworthiness, safety, legality or future performance of a user. Verification is limited to the aspects that SSP has checked at that time.

8. Retention periods

SSP retains personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless longer retention is necessary or permitted:

  • for as long as an account is active
  • for as long as a request, quote, appointment, review or dispute is ongoing
  • for as long as necessary for administration, security or billing
  • for as long as SSP is legally required to do so

Even after deletion of an account, certain data may be retained for administrative purposes, audit and log purposes, disputes and claims, and compliance with legal obligations.

9. Security

SSP takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or unlawful disclosure. These measures may include access restrictions, role-based access, secure storage environments, logging and monitoring, security updates, and protection of verification and payment information. Despite these measures, SSP cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

11. International or external service providers

SSP may use external suppliers or technical infrastructure located outside Suriname. Where this is the case, SSP endeavours to put in place appropriate safeguards for the careful handling of personal data.
